Jamaica

Jamaica is the fourth largest island in the Caribean. The first inhabitants of the island were the Taino indigenous people, but after the arrival of Cristopher Columbus the island came under Spanish rule, giving it the name of Santiago. Spaniards brought African people to the island, where they worked as slaves. Some years later, British people came and invade the island imposing the English language.

Nowadays the country is famous for its beautiful and amazing natural features, such as, cliffs, small islands, mountain ranges or valleys. However it is also well known for the Reggae and Ska music singers like Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff or athletes like Usain Bolt. Do they sound familiar to you?
